I guess we really have no way of know for sure, but I'd be willing to bet a lot of money on me being right. That being said, the developer's response to this was definitely very satisfying. Most of the people joking about it were already fans of the game, and most of the people complaining never intended to buy the game in the first place. I'd say the "butt controversy" has very little to do with the game's success. The series already had an existing fanbase, and many people were interested in the game for quite a while (as I was). Opprinnelig skrevet av cheese.9898:I don't that's true (speaking about the bit on her butt increasing sales), lol You don't see me complaining on forums that games that I dislike be changed to suit my snowflakey delicate sensibilities, I simply just don't buy the stupid game. Game devs should make whatever games they want, and if people disagree with the content, they think a character is too sexy, or vulgar, or whatever. Hell, Ken Levine from 2k made a public announcement for people to "stop making Elizabeth porn", and Blizzard tried to scrub the internet of Overwatch porn (which is impossible).Ĭompanies aren't seeing that doing all this censorship kills interest from their target demographic, in favor of people who WILL NOT and NEVER PLANNED TO buy their game. ![]() Most devs would immediately try to abhor the situation, censor the character to appease the crazies, and make apologies and blabbity blah. ![]() This in a world where EVERYTHING is offensive, having sexy characters in your games these days gets you bashed from SJWs and there ilk to no end, the public and Political Correctness backlash is insane. Then Taro asked that people please take all the sexy fanart, compile it, and send it to him so he can dispurse it on a weekly basis. It all started when someone photoshopped a brownish hue in a circle under 2B's leotard.
